What:
On Tuesday, April 9, 2024 Friends of Holly Hill Farm's Community Outreach Director and Farm-to-Food Pantry Program Leader, Jon Belber will cover nearly 60 miles on bike, stopping at 10 pantries.
Why:
The goal of this "Carrots-by-Cycle" journey is to raise awareness about the growing need for healthy fresh food to support families and individuals facing food insecurity - and our Farm-to-Food Pantry program, which is growing and donating over 4,500 pounds of healthy food to seven local food pantries. The most locations ever!
How:
The Carrots-by-Cycle is a two-part event, we will head back on biked in August or September to harvest all the carrots planted and help get them stocked and into the food pantries!
You can help too!

We believe everyone deserves healthy food. Sadly, the rate of food insecurity continues to rise. We want to do our part in helping. That's why we created our Farm-to-Food Pantry Program with the goal of growing and delivering fresh healthy produce to area food pantries. Getting access to healthy fresh food can be a challenge. So we want to be part of the solution!
How we do it:
This program was created as a teen community service initiative. Together we learn about sustainable farming, grow, harvest, prepare, and support our neighbors and our community.
However, anyone can help.
Join as a teen volunteer.
