Spring Educational Program Options

Drop-off programs at the farm

  7 weeks April 12 through June 4th

*no programs during April Vacation Week 4/19 - 4/23

Times listed below

These 7 two-hour, drop-off sessions are for three age groups (4-7, 8-11, 12+). Each age group will be led by 1-2 experienced farm educators through a fluid, yet structured schedule that may include reading a story, hands-on learning, farming, ecological experiences, games, crafts, and more. Of course, there is always room for diversion, allowing educators to follow the children’s interests.

Explorations, activities, and experiences may include:

• Plant and grow carrots, potatoes, greens, tomatoes, and more
• Dig deep into the world of compost and soil
• Play with water and study its cycle and the part it plays in growth and erosion
• Seek out pollinators and flowers that they pollinate
• Perform farm chores like watering, weeding, and sifting compost
• Create, play, and experiment

Children ages 12+ may also

• Create and observe cover boards, where salamanders, insects, and other creatures hide
• Establish square-foot nature surveys to track changes
• Experiment and design with biomimicry
• Investigate microscopic pond and marsh life

$195/each child for Holly Hill Farm members

These 7 two-hour sessions for kids of all ages with a parent or guardian will be led by 1-2 experienced farm educators through a fluid, yet structured schedule that may include reading a story, hands-on learning, farming, ecological experiences, games, crafts, and more. Program Fees:

 Children age 1 and younger = free

One child = $30/week1-2 additional children = $15/week

3 or more additional children = $10/week

Adults = $10/week 

*A Family Holly Hill Farm Membership is required for registration and will be added to your order if you are not already a Member ($75).

After School Programs 

 M, T & Thurs April 12 - June 3rd

For78 weeks, children (ages 8-14) will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of afterschool programs on the farm and its surrounding areas. 

These programs range from farming to citizen science to orienteering/ questing to creating art and building fairy and gnome houses to cross-country running.

Kids can be registered for individual weeks or for an entire 8-week session.

Pricing is $35 per week or $225 for full 8- week session  (other than Cross Country Running*)

$25 per day

$40 per week

$280 for full 8-week session
