It’s really great for the kids to spend the week turning the soil, weeding, making compost, caring for the crops, getting vegetables ready for market, and then celebrating at the end of the week with a fun meal. They are able to try on some farm shoes, walk around a bit and say they helped do the important work of growing and providing organic vegetables.
Join us for a 16th season of this vital program where kids are growing, planting and learning about organic produce and cooking great meals. This unique program allows interested participants to work with each other and alongside the farmers, to gain knowledge about the variety of vegetables grown on the farm and end the week with a group meal served for their families. They will engage with a variety of activities so as not to get bogged down in the weeds.
When: June –August, Mondays through Fridays, 9am-noon

- Session 2: July 18 -22
- Session 3: August 15-19
Fee per session: $200 members/$265 nonmembers (family membership included)
